In the book Resting in Peace is Optional Alan Hall talks about his experiences after death. My name is Sandy Taylor, and I am one of the mediums that Alan worked with to write his story.
Alan and I were casual acquaintances before he crossed over. I saw Alan's spirit the day of his funeral in the chapel. As the priest and speakers offered comfort to Alan's friends and family he paced by the sliding glass doors. He was very upset and I felt sympathy to see how devastated his family were and how alone he was. Unlike most spirits, Alan had not crossed through the tunnel, and was not at peace. I felt compelled to talk to him, so I waited until the chapel had cleared and approached him. I told Alan that I could see and hear him, leting him know that he wasn't as alone as he thought.
About a week after his funeral, Alan came to my apartment and we began having conversations. His frustration was heartbreaking, but his determination and devotion were heartwarming, so I agreed to tell his mother that his soul existed and was still with her. This was very hard for me, because I didn't know Alan's mother very well. Although Alan told me she would be receptive, I know what a delicate and sensitive subject death can be. I had not shared this ability with too many people, and I am respectful of other people's beliefs. Fortunately Terry was very open, which made it easier for Alan to communicate with her.
Alan gave so many signs to Terry, which helped them both to gradually heal their broken hearts. The book started as a journal for Alan to write down and release some of his emotions. Neither of us anticipated it turning into a book, or that he would make a video. i'm happy to have been able to help Alan share his story, with the hope that it may help others in the grieving process. Now that it has, we join with him in hoping that it helps those in the grieving process. Alan and I have become very close over the years and we continue to share a special relationship. |
